A massive yardage onslaught was too much for the Sycamore War Eagles, as White House managed 546 all-purpose yards in a 36-6 rout for its third win of the freshman season over a week ago in Pleasant View.

Bryan Dixon scored three touchdowns, two of which in the first quarter, as the Blue Devils scored 22 points in the opening period and never looked back. Aussie Light opening the scoring with a two-yard run after Jacob Upchurch returned a punt 43 yards to the Sycamore two-yard-line on the fourth play of the game. Jeff Edgar made it 8-0 on the two-point run just three minutes into the game.

But Sycamore responded with a huge kickoff return of 73 yards and scored on fourth and goal minutes later, but the two-point run was no good, keeping the Blue Devils ahead, 8-6.

Dixon added touchdown runs of 5 yards and 58 yards, converting one of a pair of two-point conversions for a quick, 22-6 lead in the opening 10 minutes. He added a two-yard run in the second quarter for a 28-6 lead at the halftime break.

Upchurch ended the scoring in the third with a 16-yard run, and Light's pass to Edgar was complete on the two-point conversion for the 36-6 margin.

The War Eagles were held to 80 yards on 34 plays in the game, including 0-of-2 passing with an interception by Dixon. White House, meanwhile, rushed 33 times for 276 yards and Light completed 4-of-6 passes for 114 yards for 390 yards of total offense. The Blue Devils added 148 yards on returns in the game.
