Stars shine at annual White House football banquet

The White House High School 2007 Football Banquet was held on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008, at the WHHS cafeteria. The team honored seniors Adam Wiss and Rogers Gaines as permanent team captains, and Wiss was named the Most Valuable Player for his role as the leader on defense at linebacker. Postseason honors begin rolling in for Blue Devils

White House senior left tackle Rogers Gaines finished as one of three finalists for the Tennessee Titans Class 3-A Mr. Football Award (lineman). Since the banquet, a number of other postseason honors have begun to roll in for the Blue Devils including the All-Region 4-3A team, the Tennessean All-Midstate team, The News Examiner All-County team and the Tennessee Football Coaches Association All-State team. White House falls to Pearl-Cohn in Class 3-A quarters

The season came to a close in week 13 for the White House Blue Devils as Pearl-Cohn defeated WHHS at home to advance to the state semifinals. Breaking News: White House senior tackle Rogers Gaines named Mr. Football finalist

The TSSAA released the finalists for the Mr. Football award on Wednesday and White House senior tackle Rogers Gaines has been named one of three finalists for the Class 3-A Lineman award. The award presentation will be Monday, Dec. 3, 2007, at the Nashville Airport Marriott at 11:15 a.m. The remaining two finalists for this award are Donta Hightower of Marshall County and Beau Liljenquist of Dyersburg.
